2011年，对集镇进行了总体规划，规划期限：近期2012-2020年，远期2020-2030年。集镇性质：生态休闲旅游名镇。发展规模：集镇规划区2平方公里，集贸兴隆、市场活跃，容纳非农业人口约8000人。规划内容为：主要街道4条，小巷8条，全长8000余米，街道全部硬化，小巷铺上石子，街道两旁民房均在2层楼以上。
集镇道路长度2公里，其中水泥硬化车行道2000米。人行道1500米，总面积22000平方米；下水道6000余米；有自来水加压站1座，日供水800吨，供水普及率85%。2011年末，镇驻地绿化面积2000平方米。安装街道照明路灯110盏；配置垃圾桶40个，10个垃圾池，垃圾中转站1个。
镇内建有小型客运站1个，日发客运汽车15班次，日均容量300余人次。

陆路省道13公里，市道18公里，乡道441公里，通村公路45公里，可通100％的自然村，村组公路硬化里程150公里，硬化率达35%。桥梁9座，其中跨铁路桥1座、跨高速公路桥7座、省道公路桥1座。

2011年，全镇工农业总产值达到213142万元，，农民年人均纯收入8480元。
全域农业以种植业为主，兼而畜牧业，农业生产总值68265万元。主要农业作物有：棉花、水稻、油菜籽等；2011年生产粮食40853吨，棉花总产185吨，油料总产9228吨，蔬菜总产27948吨，水果产量41750吨，瓜果产量11586吨，水产品产量8550吨。畜牧业以猪、羊、家禽为主。2011年生猪出栏66241头，羊出栏7650只，家禽出笼5890万只。
域内工业以食品饮料、建材、玻璃制品、服装加工为主。2011年实现规模工业总产值144877万元，%；拥有规模工业企业15家，职工3280人；实现工业增加值42817万元,%。
域内已建成水库12座，总库容为850万立方米；开挖水库干、支渠总长65千米；共建成电灌站75处，装机容量1550千瓦；农田有效灌溉面积65166亩，有效灌溉率达85%。
