What is badminton?
Badminton is a racquet sport
played using racquets to hit a
shuttlecock across , the
mon forms of the
game are "singles" (with one
player per side) and "doubles"
(with two players per side).
Play ends once the shuttlecock has struck the floor or if a fault has been called by the umpire, service judge, or (in their absence) the opposing side.
History
Badminton is a development of a game once played in India called "Poona".
It was brought to England by English army offivers in the 1860s.
It was once known as Battledore & also Shuttlecock.
About 14 ~ 15 Century, in Japan, soldiers used wooden racket, and cherry with beautiful feather as the ball. Two people rallied the ball with the boards. That was the prototype of badminton.
England is principal home of badminton.
Badminton came
into China in 1920,
since 1970s, China
has been one of the
strongest team in the
world.
In 1992, badminton were classified as official event at Olympics.

Rules of Badminton
Before start the game, do some warm up, strength your body.
A Toss shall be conducted before a game starts. If you win, you can choose between serving first, Your opponent can then exercise the remaining choice.
The server &receiver stand in diagonally oppposite service courts. The server hits the shuttlecock so that is would land in the receiver's service court.
A point is won when a shuttle is hit over or onto the floor of the opponent's court.
As in volleyball, you play to win a set. There are 3 sets. A set pleted when a player gets 21 points.
