PAINT COATING QUALITY OF VEHICLE PARTS

1. Scope
This standard prescribes the quality of parts’ coating films that are painted for the style and decoration of
vehicle parts (“parts”) applicable to the vehicle.
2. Definition of terms
The meaning of the terms used in this standard is as follows :
Interior
Parts attached onto the inside of body and not exposed to rain or wind directly or indirectly.
However, it is regarded as outside of body if it is exposed to rain or wind indirectly.
Exterior
Parts attached onto an outside of body and exposed to rain or wind directly or indirectly.
Even though it is inside the body, it is regarded as outside the body if some part is exposed to rain or wind.
Internal
Section that cannot be seen directly, as more than 2 parts are united or assembled.
External
Section that can be seen as it is or as it is used, as 1 or more than 2 parts are united or assembled.
3. Type and symbol
Type and symbol of the paint coating should be bination mon performance and selective
performance.
Performance
mon performance, the type and symbol of the paint coating should be expressed in the 5 types
specified in Table 1 based on the region of vehicle.
