What is Culture?
(1) Origin: The word “culture” comes from Latin, originally means “cultivation”, and it entered the English language in 1430.
(2) Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English (1st edition):
A. In broad sense, culture refers to the ideas , beliefs and customs that are shared and accepted by people in a society; and activities that are related to art, music, literature , etc.
B. In narrow sense, culture also refers to a society that existed in a particular time in history; and the attitudes and beliefs about something that are shared by a particular group of people or in a anization.”
