The Past Future Tense
一、意义
一般过去将来时表示从过去的某一时间来看将来要发生的动作或存在的状态。过去将来时常用于宾语从句和间接引语中。一般过去将来时的出发点是过去,即从过去某一时刻看以后要发生的动作或状态。

表示“过去的将来”

构成:
肯定句:S+be(was,were)going to+V+…
否定句:S+be(was,were)not going to+V+…
疑问句:Be(Was,Were)+S+going to+V+…
2. 过去进行时也可以表示过去将来时,但只限于某些表示位置移动的动词,如:arrive ,come, go , leave,start等。
五、过去将来时一般没有独立的疑问形式,常用间接方法表示疑问。
