This famous piece s form the Portugues was produced after she met Browning. It is the story of a woman writer making her way in life, balancing work and love. The writings depicted in this anthology are based on similar, personal experiences that Elizabeth suffered through herself.
Say over again, and yet once over again, a请说了一遍,再向我说一遍, That thou dost love me. Though the word repeated b说“我爱你!” Should seem `a cuckoo-song,' as thou dost treat it. b你会把它看成一支“布谷鸟的歌曲”;Remember, never to the hill or plain, a可是记着,在那青山和绿林间,Valley and wood, without her cuckoo-strain a那山谷和田野中,纵使清新的春天Comes the fresh Spring in all her pleted. b披着全身绿装降临、也不算完美无缺, Beloved, I, amid the darkness greeted b要是她缺少了那串布谷鸟的音节。By a doubtful spirit-voice, in that doubt's pain a爱,四周那么黑暗,耳边只听见

Cry, ... `Speak once more ... thou lovest!' Who can fear c
Too many stars, though each in heaven shall roll, d
Too many flowers, though each shall crown the year? c
Say thou dost love me, love me, love me -- toll d The silver iterance! -- only minding, Dear, c
To love me also in silence with thy soul. d
When our two souls stan up erect and strong, a
Face to face, silent, drawing nigh and nigher, b默默地,面对着面,越来越靠拢, Until the lengthening wings break into fire b
At each curved point, -- what bitter wrong a迸出了火星。 Can the earth do to us, that we should not long a Be here contented? Think. In mounting higher, b
The angels would press on us and aspire b天使抵在头上,为我们那一片 To drop some golden orb of perfect song a
