浅议商务英语的特点及其翻译技巧
内容摘要:由于商务英语的特点及对翻译者的高要求,使得在目前的商务英语翻译中不可避免地存在诸多问题。本文从商务英语的特点及翻译中存在的问题出发,结合自身翻译经验,从商务英语的特点和翻译者的个人素养两个层面来具体阐述商务英语的翻译技巧。
Abstract:As the characteristics of business english & the high demand for translators, the translation of business english get many inevitably problems in actual operation. In this paper, we started from the actual issues that presents in translation and the spcial characteristics of business English, in light of our own experience in the translation, and we explained the actual translation skills from two levels which are characteristics of business english and the personal qualities of translaror.

一、引言
随着国际商务的空前繁荣,商务英语在国际交流中起着越来越重要的作用,各种涉外合同协议、公函、书信、通知、电报、演讲等日益增多;同时,由于商务英语自身的特点及对翻译者的高要求,使得在目前的商务英语翻译中不可避免地存在诸多问题。有鉴于此,本文将从商务英语的特点及翻译中存在的问题出发,结合自身翻译经验,对商务英语的翻译技巧进行探讨。
二、商务英语的特点及翻译中出现的问题
(一)商务英语的特点
1、从语法结构和词汇特点上看
(1)广泛运用被动语态、祈使句、非谓语动词和情态动词
为了做到语言简洁、内容表达客观公正和有关事项描述的准确无误,还广泛运用被动语态、祈使句、非谓语动词和情态动词。如:
①In case the contract is concluded on CIF basis,the insurance shall be effected by the Seller for 110% of invoice value covering all risks, war risk,. risks (. Strike, Riot, and motions). 译文:在到岸价基础上订立的合同,将由卖方按发票金额110%投保综合险、战争险,罢工险、暴乱险和民变险。这是一份合同中有关保险的内容,句子中用了被动语态(is concluded shall be effected)、非谓语动词(covering all risks…)、情态动词(shall),另外还用了in case引导的条件句。
