Therefore, the study of normal reference values for the fetal ductus arteriosus is clinically significant. This study aims to determine the normal reference values for the fetal ductus arteriosus at different stages of pregnancy and explore its application value in prenatal examination. Methods: This study included detailed, prospective observational data during pregnancy from 100 normal pregnant women. Relevant data were collected through close clinical and ultrasound examinations, and statistical analysis was conducted. Results: By statistically analyzing the observational data, we obtained the normal reference values for the fetal ductus arteriosus at different stages of pregnancy. We observed that the diameter of the ductus arteriosus gradually increased during the early pregnancy until reaching its maximum value in the late pregnancy. Additionally, the length, blood flow velocity, and blood flow volume of the ductus arteriosus also increased progressively with the progression of pregnancy. Discussion: The ductus arteriosus plays a vital physiological role during pregnancy. Understanding its normal reference values is crucial for assessing the development and function of the fetal cardiovascular system. Through detailed examination of the ductus arteriosus, clinical doctors can timely detect and manage diseases related to ductus arteriosus abnormalities, such as congenital heart disease and heart failure. Conclusion: The preliminary study of normal reference values for the fetal ductus arteriosus shows significant clinical significance. The detailed examination of the ductus arteriosus can provide important information about the development and function of the fetal cardiovascular system. Therefore, incorporating the normal reference values for the fetal ductus arteriosus into prenatal examinations can help clinical doctors timely detect and manage diseases related to ductus arteriosus abnormalities, thus further improving the accuracy and effectiveness of prenatal examinations.
