Hand Puppet Shows are also referred to as Palm Shows. This performing artistry of wooden puppets had reached its maturity during the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty in China‘s Chuen-cho area(福建泉州地区). The Puppet Shows came to Taiwan from Fujian Province in the mid-Qing Dynasty () during the wave of immigration from China to Taiwan .
Puppet masters, utilizing their unique one-man-multiple-voice talent(一人多音演员), enacted stories and legends, with a mix of rich Chinese customs, culture, historical tales of chivalry(骑士)and stories of passion, brought to life each puppet character. They captured the hearts of audiences and skillfully guided them into the story.

Pili series' scriptwriter is Huang jiang hua[shi che shu] and voiced by Huang wen ze[ba xin cai zi]. There have been over one thousand episodes produced since [pili jinguang] till [pili shenzhou III tianzui].
The series production is a family business run by the Huang family. Huang is in charge of most of the character design and voicing. the voicing is mostly done in Minan dialect, while the show mainly focuses on fight scenes.

Brief Introduction:PILI series got its name from the fact that every episode has pili in its title. It describes a martial arts world(武侠世界),where there always are bad guys who spare no efforts to conquer the world or launch the invasion. To defeat the bad guys, heroes and warriors appears and the world return to peace after conflicts. Of all the characters, There are three main heroes, Su Huanzhen, Yi Yeshu and Ye Xiaochai who has worked for the past 2 decades and seems to have no retirement.
