Reporter: Ahmed Awadallah, from the US, but he is an Egyptian national, and he’s got a terrific story. He’s one of the delegates here. Ahmed, thank you very much for joining us.
Ahmed: Thank you for having me.
Reporter: So it’s obviously a great opportunity for you as well, coming from Egypt originally, and then now, in Australia. What an interesting trip, what an interesting life.
Ahmed: Yeah. Actually I grew up; I lived all my life in Egypt. I was born in a very small village north from Cairo, where I went to the public school. For all my life I have never touched puter keyboard, never seen puter, never spoke English. I graduated from a technical high school. I never went to college, and in 2007, I applied for a *Fulbright Scholarship. It was an opportunity for students from Egypt, who went to the technical school, and I was selected, and I had to learn English in six month before I travel to the United States and started at munity College in August, 2008.
Reporter: Six months.
Ahmed: Six months.
Reporter: …to learn English.
Ahmed: Yeah.
Reporter: And you didn’t even have puter?
Ahmed: Yeah. So it was hard. I was working as a full time teacher instructor at the technical school, so I had a whole day at the school, then I had to go at night for my English course, for four hours every day, then I had to speak English, which, I really like th
