中文提要

作为东方的礼仪之邦,从服饰中的衣袖到舞台上的长袖,乃至戏曲表演中的水袖,
就能窥见我们的文化底蕴,触摸到我们民族艺术的灵魂。无论是宽衣大袖的穿衣传统,
还是长袖善舞的理念,以及钟情水袖的曼妙多姿,都是有着历史和社会的深刻原因的。
本文从古代服饰的发展变化为线索,考察水袖的源头及其艺术特征,从而进一步探寻
水袖艺术形式中所蕴含的民族审美心理。我们追求阴柔之美,中和之美,喜欢素雅浪
漫的艺术形式,是由我们民族独特的重视线条和喜欢含蓄婉转的审美文化心理决定
的。于是,戏曲舞台上能够将水袖艺术发展到极致。这是与古典长袖舞一脉相承的,
或者是对衣袖之文化和艺术的一种殊途同归的必由之路。
