摘要
任伯年是中国近代绘画史上一位成就显著而又有一定争议的画家。本文在
检讨任伯年的生平、画学渊源和作品分期的基础上,着重从绘画本体要素如:
用笔、造型、章法、用色等方面入手,对任伯年的绘画艺术作全面的审视与品
鉴,认为任伯年具有先天的笔感禀赋和超强的绘画才能,他的人物画在传统线
描的基础上受到西洋素描造型的某些影响,在形式语言上有新的突破。其花鸟
画亦能洋为中用、造型生动,尤其是在用色、用粉方面有独到之处。其山水画
用笔疏简、形神皆备,融花鸟画技法于山水画之中,亦显示出一定的个人风貌。
任伯年绘画的总体风格是雅俗共赏,他的俗是通俗而不是庸俗,从而做到了俗
中有我、俗中有新,堪称中国近代绘画史上的大家。他对吴昌硕、徐悲鸿直至
现代许多画家具有广泛的影响。他的绘画相对于传统文人画而言,具有更充分
的绘画性,更接近纯绘画的发展道路,且具有既上承传统又下启新风的意义。
是中国现代绘画的先驱。

Abstract
Ren Bonian is a significant but controversial painter in Chinese neoteric
painting history. The paper gives a brief review on his life, painting origin and
classification of his works. Focusing on Chinese painting ontology elements, such as,
the using of Chinese writing brush, shaping, art position, composition of a
picture and the using of colors, it makes a full scan of Mr. Ren’s figure painting,
flower-bird works and landscape. The paper considers that Ren Bonian possesses the
talent of using Chinese writing brush and extraordinary painting ability. His figure
paintings break the limit of traditional line figure painting. With the skill of western
charcoal drawing, he made some new plishments in Chinese painting expression.
He also utilized western painting skills in flower-bird works, shaping vividly and
coloring brilliantly. His painting style bining the normal with the self and
combining the normal with the new. As a significant painter in Chinese neoteric
painting history, he influenced Wu Changshuo and Xubeihong a lot. His painting
highlighted drawing, and was relatively different from litterateurs' painting style.
Ren Bonian, the pioneer of Chinese modern painting development, headed the way
of pure painting, which both recovered the classic and brought forth new ideas.
