中国古代的社会管理不仅依靠政治、法律,也注重发挥德礼教化的作用,而德礼
教化并非空洞无物,乡饮酒礼(简称“乡饮礼”)就是对民众进行教化的具体可行的
重要方式。它源于西周,此后世代相传,生生不息,清朝虽是少数民族政权,却继承
发展了乡饮礼,并对其程序、责任等进行明确规定。同时,清朝统治者极为重视官员
在乡饮礼中发挥的教化作用,明确规定官员在此活动中严选宾介、讲读律令的职责。
乡绅作为连接政府和乡村社会的纽带,是清朝社会结构中的重要阶层,经常作为宾介
被邀请参加乡饮礼,通过乡饮酒这种制度化的活动对民众实行切实有效的教化,并帮
助统治者实现对乡村社会的管理、控制。乡饮酒不仅是一种礼仪活动,也是清政府对
民众进行德礼教化实现社会控制的重要方式,具有显著的社会功能和政治法律意义。

Abstract
The Ancient Chinese social management depended on not only politics and law, but
also the moral cultivation, munity Drinking Ceremony is a specific and feasible
way of educating the people. It originated in the Zhou Dynasty and has pleted in
Qing Dynasty. Although the Qing Dynasty was a minority regime, it inherited and
developed traditional Chinese culture, including munity Drinking Ceremony. Qing
government paid attention to educating the people of local officials in munity
Drinking Ceremony, and clearly defined the responsibilities of selecting important and
secondary guests and disseminating law of local officials. The gentry as link of
government and rural society is important stratum of social structure in Qing Dynasty.
They were often invited to take part in munity Drinking Ceremony, at the same
time, they educated the people well and helped Qing government to control rural country
effectively by the activity. munity Drinking Ceremony is a etiquette activity, but
more importantly, the Qing government can educate the people so that it can control the
whole society by the activity. munity Drinking Ceremony is significant to politics
and law.
