要
中国古代是私家藏书是一种内蕴极其丰富的文化现象,它与古籍的典藏、传承以及
学术文化、图书事业的发展密切相关。中国古代私人藏书对社会文化、生活所做出的影
响和贡献,不是仅依靠个别藏书家的收藏,而是依赖整个私人藏书群体的努力,推动藏
书风气扩大发展。
清代是古代私人藏书发展的鼎盛时期,形成了较大规模的私人群体。由于时代背景
的特殊性,清代私人藏书群体逐渐形成了与以往朝代不同的群体特色,并丰富了藏书活
动的内涵。本文第一部分界定了私人藏书群体的概念,介绍了私人藏书群体的历史沿革,
分析了清代私人藏书群体的形成背景和形成过程;第二部分重点总结了清代私人藏书群
体的基本状况和藏书活动的特点,最后,指出了清代藏书群体的历史贡献。
清代私人藏书群体在保存、整理古籍文献、促进学术交流发展、繁荣图书事业、提
倡私人藏书对外开放、促进近代图书馆形成等方面做出了巨大的贡献。

Abstract
Private book collecting in ancient China is a cultural phenomenon with abundant
connotation; it connected with the collection and inheritance of ancient books, academic
culture tradition, and the development of the librarianship. The influence and contribution of
the private book collecting in ancient China to the social culture and life not depended on
individual book collectors only, but depended on the effort of the group of private book
collecting which aimed at the development and extension of the atmosphere of book
collecting. Qing dynasty is the golden age of ancient private book collecting; a larger scale of
group of private book collecting was formed. Because of the particularity of the social
background, a group characteristic which different from the previous dynasties was formed in
the group of private book collecting of Qing dynasty gradually, the connotation of book
collecting was enriched as well.
