Some clothes pegs ?A sheet with a list of about 30 character adjectives, both positive and negative ones. Warm-up Identifying facial expressions and character/personality :? The students are given cards and colours and are told to draw the portrait of the person they are sitting with. ? The teacher hangs all the drawings with clothes pegs all around the classroom. ? Students then move around the classroom, look at the portraits and identify their own one. They ’ re given a few minutes to make up their minds. ? Ask them to write a few lines under their portrait describing their personality, using adjectives from the list. Revision of vocabulary: ? Get feedback from students and ask them to give you adjectives they have used and have found useful. ? Work on vocabulary giving them adjectives they have needed and they didn ’t know. ? The portraits can beput up around the classroom so they can all read each other ’s descriptions and associate them with the faces. 2)60’?
