Preface
This is a set of lecture notes prepared for a course on Atomic Physics for
second-year graduate students, first given at the University of Notre Dame
during the spring semester of 1994. My aim in this course was to provide op-
portunities for “hands-on” practice in the calculation of atomic wave functions
