Application of Reforming Hydrocyclone Type Grid Flocculation Tank

Abstract Reaction effect of flocculation process of a water supply plant in Shenzhen is not good, and effluent quality can no longer
meet actual demand. In order to improve flocculation reaction effect, water plant used hydrocyclone grids to transform flocculation
tank. By replacing the device of flocculation tank and changing flow channel, water flow produced high-frequency spectrum vortex in
the flow channel and the chance of collision between suspended solids was increased. Operation effect after transformation showed
that the mixing conditions of flocculation reaction were significantly improved, and G value was increased from s-1 to
s-1. Effluent turbidity of sedimentation tank decreased significantly from NTU before the transformation
