Abraham Lincolin (february 12 ,1809-April 15,1865) was the 16th President of the United States,serving from March 1861 until his assassination in April essfully led his country through its greatest constitutional, military and moral crisis—the American Civil the Union while ending slavery, and promoting economic and financial modernization.
He is a politician, thinker , he is also the first republicans American President , he and e Washington, Franklin Roosevelt , are recognized as the three of the greatest America's President.
Abraham Lincoln was born in a log cabin near Hodgenville, Kentucky. He had very little formal schooling and was mostly self-educated. He eventually became a lawyer and a Republican politician; he earned the nickname "Honest Abe."
February 12th, 1809, Lincoln was born in a poor family which makes living by farming on Kentucky Harding county, just like the most farmers in the United States .His farther was very hard to do the farm to support the family, so he used to be the shoemaker(鞋匠), woodcutters(樵夫) and carpenters(木匠), etc. In his own words, his childhood is a poor concise(简洁的) the chronicle(年代史)". When he was a child, he helped his family move wood ,carry water and do much farm work, etc.
His parents are the immigrants(移民) of British who make living by farming and hunting. In 1816, Lincoln family moved to Indiana southwest, for people who depend on farming. When he was 9 years old, unluckily , his mother diedsalesclerk(售货员) and a carpentry(木工). When he was 18 years old, Lincoln was employed by a ship owner . It was a chance that makes him sail to the New Orleans.
Before 25 years old, Lincoln had no profession that make him around for a living.
