The determination of the content of the DHA
1、 Principle
Fatty acids in oils and fats unter the boron (tri)fluoride and methanol and sodium hydroxide , as a fatty acid methyl ester, the fatty acid methyl ester’s respondence on gas chromatograph hydrogen flame ionization detector linearly related with its existent amount. The content of variety of fatty acids can be calculated by the content of a variety of fatty acid methyl ester on chromatography. 2、 Application
Applicable to the determination of conventional content of DHA oil or powder. 3、 Sample volume
Sample about 2g.

Volumetric flask of 25ml Transfer pipet of 10ml

Taka-Diastase,SIGMA.
Anhydrous ethanol, AR, Bengbu chemical reagents factory.
Anhydrous ether, AR , Tianjin Guangcheng Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd.
Petroleum ether, AR, Tian jin (Hong Kong) xingtong fine Chemical Co., Ltd.
sodium hydroxide solution of methanol: get sodium hydroxide about 2g, put it in 100ml absolute methanol.
Boron (tri)fluoride methanol solution: The boron (tri)fluoride or boron (tri)fluoride diethyl plex salt with methanol pair 125g / L solution (calculate by boron (tri)fluoride), get 100ml from boron (tri)fluoride or boron (tri)fluoride diethyl plex salt , mix it with 200ml of anhydrous methanol,
