In this paper, a car model with two degree of freedoms was constructed for modeling the performance of handling and stability of cars. At the same time, the influence factors such as the tire pressure, the different types of tires and the center of gravity of the vehicle were considered to illustrate the effect of these parameters on the handling and stability of cars. Firstly, the mathematic model of car with two degree of freedoms is built based on the car movement. Then, according to the model, the simulation model is developed with the application of MATLAB/Simulink software. Finally, the simulation is conducted with the model. The influence of those parameters is analyzed with detail from the simulation results.
