沙面
Shamian is in the southwest of Guangzhou city. Because of the Pearl River silting alluviation, it became a sandbar, it hence the name. Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties for domestic and foreign trade key locations and tourist sites. After the Opium War, the Qing Xianfeng eleventh year (1861) became the British, French Concession. It is now an mercial port of Guangzhou.
