Bullard Education FoundationInvesting in Our Future Grants Fall 2012 Purpose The Bullard Education Foundation is offering all staff the opportunity to apply for grants to support innovative programs or projects to support higher levels of student learning. The grants must enhance student academic performance and support the objectives, goals, and initiatives of the Campus or District Plans. Innovative Teaching Grants are designed to encourage, facilitate, recognize and reward innovative and creative instructional approaches to the plishment of program objectives to enhance learning. Bullard Education Foundation Goals Promote innovation in the classroom Provide an avenue munity involvement and awareness in the schools and the foundation Recognize students and staff for excellence and achievement Assist in the strive for an exemplary education for all Bullard ISD students What is the need? Describe the area of student achievement you wish to address and give any data that supports the need. Keep the statement simple and straight forward. Show how project relates to the District/ Campus Plans/ Goals.* *Remember to use best practices/research Be creative and innovative …… Objectives for this Grant… Limit the number of objectives, tell what you wish for and how it will be used and evaluated. Be specific. What is the Proposed Grant Project/Activity? Describe the issue to be addressed. Show how the project supports the purpose. List steps to be followed in project implementation. Relate project to need and objectives. Again, be specific and include how it will be evaluated. (student ess) How to Evaluate the project/ activity? Relate to stated objectives. Indicate how you will know whether the project was essful. (Students ess, STAAR, etc…) Things to Remember… Grants are to be used to fund projects that cannot be provided for in the school and district budgets. Objectives and es should be consistent with the goals of your school and the district.
