语言的意义与功能
翻译就是翻译意义( Translation means translating meaning.)
分为
1)指称意义( designative meaning)
2)言内意义( intralingual meaning)
3)语用意义( pragmatic meaning)
语义系统(三种意义),这一系统体现了语言的功能
分为
1)信息功能( informative function)
2)表情功能( expressive function),
3)祈使功能( vocative function)
4)美感功能( aesthetic function),
5)酬应功能( phatic function)
6)元语言功能( metalingual function)

指称意义
指称意义
是语言符号和它所描绘或叙述的主观世界或
客观世界的实体和事件之间的关系,(即符号与所
指对象之间的关系所体现的意义)是词语、句子和
篇章所反映的客观世界。
例子
如: father(父亲), table cloth(桌布)
The sun rises in the east.(太阳从东方升起。
156: For two newborn siblings taking a bath, that's
exactly what they needed at the time
译文:对这两个刚出生的双胞胎来说,他们洗澡时
最需要的就是这样一个拥抱。
"they"指的就是" two newborn"
例子
例句: Noah fisher,four, looks very dapper in his
black-rimmed spectacles, but he was very worried
about what kind of reception he would get
译文:4岁的诺亚费希尔戴着黑框眼镜,看上去十
分帅气,但是他对别人会怎么评价自己很担忧
这里的"he"就指的是4岁的诺亚

言内意义
言内意义:是语言符号之间的关系,它具体体
现在语音、词汇、句法和语篇等层次。语音层次
主要包括各种音韵(如头韵、元音迭韵、和声
押韵)、格律及重读等方面;词汇层次有谐音双
关、一语双叙等;句法层次有组合关系、排比、
倒装等;篇章则有句式的变化、段落的安排和衔
接、粘连等。

词汇层次
谐音双关(用拼写,发音相同或相近。广告制作者非常乐
意使用谐音双关,因为此类双关具有非常幽默、风趣、滑稽
的语言风格,能增强广告的说服力和感染力,给消费者留下
深刻印象)
