薅草锣鼓歌是土家族一种很古老的歌腔，是土家族人在生 产劳动中创作的一种将音乐与诗歌相结合的民族民间音乐演 唱形式。在湘、鄂、川、黔四省交界接壤的土家族地区流传广 泛，深受土家族人们所喜爱。
薅草锣鼓歌也叫“挖土锣鼓歌”、“薅草歌”、或“锣鼓草”， 是土家族人在山间地头，为指挥生产、鼓舞干劲、减轻疲劳、 提高工效、而结队成群，由歌师傅领唱，众人接腔、帮腔、配 以锣鼓伴奏的演唱形式。它的典调优美，演唱内容十分丰富， 表演风趣幽默、诙谐、形式多样，蕴含着极大的精神文化内涵， 绽放着独特的艺术魅力。
土家族是我国一个古老而富有智慧的民族，是一个能歌善 舞的民族，有着悠久的历史和灿烂的民族文化。薅草锣鼓歌作 为其民族音乐文化的一种样式，虽萌生于山间地头，却承载着 劳动者的喜怒哀乐，生动而形象地记录和反映了不同历史时期 土家族人民的生产、生活、思想、感情、习俗、信仰等风貌， 是民族文化与民族精神的载体和积淀，成为我们了解，认知和 研究土家族民族历史和文化的一块活化石。
如今，随着历史的变迁，社会的进步，尤其是生产劳动方 式的发展与变革，在土家族居住的地方，已经很难再听到“薅 草锣鼓歌” 了。“薅草锣鼓歌”正面临着失传和濒临消失的困 境。因此，加强对民族民间音乐文化的教育、传承、研究，挖 掘、整理和开发利用其历史、文化以及其它各方面的价值，成 为从事民族民间音乐教育工作和研究者们不可推卸的神圣职 责和历史使命。这篇论文的写作，以薅草锣鼓歌作为研究探讨 对象，从其产生形成的历史、人文、宗教、背景等方面入手， 着重对其音乐艺术特征进行一个详尽的论述和研究，力求挖掘 其内含的文化艺术等价值。最终，寻求其保护和传承发展的有 效策略。所以，论文的写作具有一定的理论价值和现实意义， 希望能起到加强民族民间音乐文化教育，推动重视和保护民族 民间音乐文化的积极作用，为进一步繁荣我国民族民间音乐文 化艺术繁荣发展提供一些有效的启迪和尝试。

ABSTRACT
Drum songs of weeding is an ancient tune,which is a form of singing national folk song with music and poet linked together during is widely spread in Tujia nationality areas which is a border of HunarvHubei,Sichuan and kind of folk music gains much popularity among the people of Tujia.
Drum songs of weeding is also called digging song,weeding song and drum is created by people of Tujia when laboring in the mountaiiis and fields to direct producing,inspire people，ease tiredness and improve efficiency .The form
is :all the people gather together with a person leading the chorus and others join him,accompanied by gong and boasts beautiful tune^ich content, interesting performance and varied prefound spiritual culture connotation and unique aritstic charm are held in its store.
