多尺度电子地图数据库建设
【摘 要】随着谷歌、百度、天地图、搜狗、搜搜等电子地图的上线，越来越多的软件商热衷于地图服务。前台网页上的地图分级显示需要通过后台服务器中地图数据库的搭建，来提供不同尺度、不同层次的空间展示。通过集成和组织多比例尺地图数据，可以实现从小比例尺到大比例尺之间，小区域到大区域之间相互的地图浏览。可见，随着互联网电子地图的发展，多尺度电子地图是成为电子地图领域的研究热点之一，而研究多尺度电子地图数据库的建设至关重要。因此，本文主要探讨电子地图中运用多尺度地图数据来构建电子地图数据库及电子地图数据库的概念设计、逻辑设计等方面的相关问题。

忽略比例尺的存在，但人们并不是时时处处都需要详细的空间信息，人们需要用一定尺度来区分事物、认识事物。
反映各种尺度地表信息的地图是通过地图综合的方式得到的。计算机问世不久，以求达到用一种比例尺地图数据自动综合出多种比例尺的地图数据供印刷出图，同时又满足GIS数据库多级表现和分析等方面尽管已建立了许多规则，但地图综合的实际过程受到人为因素影响仍然很大。诸如一些实际运用的规则并没有列到地图规范中去，一些尺度掌握并没有完全量化某些地图要素处理还有很大的随机性。因此，能否用数据结构和数据库管理的方式在大比例尺电子地图数据库基础上增加多级比例
