说到“厚德”，我们都会想起这样一句古语：天行健，君子以自强不息；地势坤，君子以厚德载物。厚德是我们垦利精神的品格。做人德为上，做事德为先；德为才之主，才为德之奴；那么，在我们日常的疾控工作中又如何发扬“厚德”精神呢？发扬“厚德”精神要求我们疾控人重修养，端品行；发扬“厚德”精神要求我们疾控人克己奉公，增进职业操守；发扬“厚德”精神要求我们疾控人增强服务意识，宽厚仁义，待民如亲，以群众是否满意作为我们事业成功与否的最高标准！
古人有云：大人不华，君子务实，务实之心重一分，务名之心便轻一分，务实是我们垦利精神的本色，也是我们垦利人最显著的精神品质之一！那么，在我们日常的疾控工作中又如何发扬“务实”精神呢？发扬“务实”精神要求我们疾控人崇尚“讲实话、干实事、求实效”的工作作风；发扬“务实”精神要求我们疾控人拥有尊重规律、与时俱进的时代精神；发扬“务实”精神要求我们疾控人真正做到脚踏实地，实实在在的做好自己的本职工作，以自己的实际行动为我们垦利的疾控事业添一块砖，加一片瓦！
