Abstract
Die casting is one of metal casting process which shots molten metal into the mold to molding under pressure. We can obtain solid metal casting after opening the mold. With the development of science and technology and industrial production and the aspects of energy-saving, saving raw materials, the application field of die castings has e more and more widely and the development of die casting technology is extremely rapid.
This article aimed at the problems of the process that the existing die casting machine
casting production such as the production efficiency is low, high labor intensity, difficult maintenance, high production cost. Automated transformation of delivery and spray which are the two processes of die casting machine casting production. The 280T die casting machine is selected as the supporting device, developing a delivery spray arms in one device instead of the Pickup Robot and sprayer of existing die casting machine.
Through the analysis of the production of die casting process after research about several of die casting production enterprise, the improved production process of automation production is proposed in this paper. Putting forward the corresponding design of automated production. The mechanical part of the arms equipment is divided into six parts by function: the Cartesian coordinate robot system, the pick- up arm turntable system, the steering system, the pick-up hand system and the sprayer system.
Equipment operation results show that this device deformed a essful signal interaction with the die casting machine mold and realized continuous work. The performance of Pickup device and spray reached the first stage of the design requirements. Now the device can realize opening mold within 20 seconds, which increases efficiency by 50% than the existing pick-up manipulator and sprayer.
