上:胸廓入口-颈部the neck area of the body
骨性胸廓:胸椎thoracic vertebra
胸骨sternum
肋骨ribs
肋间隙 intercostal space:(肋间肌intercostal muscles
神经nerves、血管vessel、淋巴管lymphoduct)
外:连接上肢的肌肉和背部固有肌
内:衬以胸膜 pleura
下:膈肌diaphragma-腹部

上:胸廓入口,由第一胸椎体上缘、第一肋、第一肋软骨和胸骨柄上缘围成(胸廓出口综合症 syndrome of thoracic outlet)。
下:由第十二胸椎体下缘、第十一、第十二肋以及第10、9、8、7对肋软骨围成,被膈肌封闭(膈疝diaphragmatic hernia)。
