Education is the soul of a nation, a country can’t develop without education. Therefore, education is one of the most important thing in our life. As the education system should be based on its own society backgrounds, we can’t tell which is better between American education and Chinese education. But we pare them in some aspects and tell the differences.

The entrance exam
There is no entrance exam to go to senior high school and simply high school and even university in the USA.
But there are lots of examinations in Chinese school ,no matter in primary school or university .

The vocations
In American, the academic year lasts nine months ,from September to June, with winter and summer vocations. But in China, except the two long vacations for some holidays in law such as Mid-autumn Festivals, Dragon Boat Festival.

The school time
In America ,junior high school students’ day time including one hour for physical education and two for reading or take part in an extracurricular activity. Extracurricular activities are educational activities not within the scope of the regular curriculum but still under the supervision of the school.
In china ,students only have PE lessons twice a week.
