Beijing flood 2012
The most parts of China have suffered heavy rains from July 21st to 22nd 2012, which Beijing and its surrounding areas encountered the strongest heavy rains and floods. Till August 6th at least 79 persons have died of this storm. According to Beijing municipal government held a disaster session’s data displayed. About 1660 homes were reported to have been collapsed; most of homes in the region are built of mud, stones and timber, the affected population of about million. Economic lost of the flood is billion, flooding land for miles, houses, schools, railroads and roads have been inundated.
I interviewed a survivor named Ella, when it happened. “I inside my apartment watching TV, suddenly I heard the sound of rainy was very loud. I looked out of the window, that scene made me scared. The water on the street was very deep at least one meter and the street was very crowded. Pedestrians and cars were stopped and waited for help. What the worse, I saw several cars were engulfed by the flood and the people in cars waved their hands for help
