PERSONAL STATEMENT

I was born on Sep. 21, 1969 in Sichuan, China. As a doctors' daughter,(申请者的性别不必要过早地显露出来,很多时候使用中性的称谓更为稳妥。) I have been exposed to love and responsibility all my life and independently developed a special interest in the natural sciences at an early age. In high school, I excelled in science courses, especially in chemistry. In the summer of 1987, after ssfully passed petitive National Entrance Exam, I was matriculated to Chengdu University of Science and Technology and I choose chemistry as my major.
When I began my undergraduate career, I had the opportunity to be exposed to the full range of chemical courses, all of which tended to reinforce and solidify my intense interest in chemistry. I finished a thesis about the further derivation of chemical thermodynamics equation under the instruction of Professor Yongzhi Wei, and three reports about the latest study and applications in the thermodynamics of non-balance state in 1989--1990. My BS degree thesis was the study puter simulation in chemical oscillation. I worked hard and found great pleasure in doing my thesis. I am familiar with dissipated structure, the study of chemical oscillation and their extensive applications in astronomy, geology, biology medicine, chemical engineering and human science.
